The Job Ready Program (JRP) is an employment-based skills assessment program designed for international students who have graduated with Australian qualifications. Here are the key aspects of the program:
Purpose and Eligibility
The JRP aims to:
- Provide international graduates an opportunity to develop their skills in an Australian workplace.
- Verify their capabilities through practical work experience.
- Obtain a skills assessment outcome for skilled visa applications
To be eligible, candidates must:
- Have completed an Australian qualification relevant to their nominated occupation.
- Successfully obtain a Provisional Skills Assessment (PSA) for their occupation.
Program Structure
The JRP consists of four main steps:
- Provisional Skills Assessment
- Job Ready Employment (JRE)
- Job Ready Workplace Assessment
- Job Ready Final Assessment
During the JRE phase, participants gain experience in an Australian workplace to develop skills relevant to their occupation. This typically involves 12 months of full-time employment (or equivalent part-time
