The Job Ready Program (JRP) is an employment-based skills assessment program designed for international students who have graduated with Australian qualifications. Here are the key aspects of the program:

Purpose and Eligibility

The JRP aims to:

  • Provide international graduates an opportunity to develop their skills in an Australian workplace.
  • Verify their capabilities through practical work experience.
  • Obtain a skills assessment outcome for skilled visa applications

To be eligible, candidates must:

  • Have completed an Australian qualification relevant to their nominated occupation.
  • Successfully obtain a Provisional Skills Assessment (PSA) for their occupation.

Program Structure

The JRP consists of four main steps:

  1. Provisional Skills Assessment
  2. Job Ready Employment (JRE)
  3. Job Ready Workplace Assessment
  4. Job Ready Final Assessment

During the JRE phase, participants gain experience in an Australian workplace to develop skills relevant to their occupation. This typically involves 12 months of full-time employment (or equivalent part-time

Timeline and Completion

Participants have up to 3 years from their JRE Start Date to complete the entire program. If not completed within this timeframe, the application will be finalized with an unsuccessful outcome.
